Look #185: Dreaming of Africa

I am featuring two items from Pretty Things from two different events.  The first event is the Color Me Project.  The colors for round 35 are the "Colors of Africa" which are ochre, sepia and ebony.

The Jess Skirt is the exclusive item available at the Color Me Project from Pretty Things.  This is a cute mini skirt that starts out flat at the waist but has subtle gathers that extend from the waistline to make it a bit flouncy.  There are four large solid color accent rings on the right side of the skirt. The HUD included gives twenty different colors of polka dot patterns.  The Jess Skirt is made for the five standard mesh sizes.

The Pretty Things exclusive at the Designer Circle is the Beth Top. This stylish top is sleeveless and has subtle pleats on the top and it flares out on the bottom.  There is a thin band tied in a bow in the middle.  This top also has a HUD included which gives twenty pattern/color options. It is made for six fitmesh sizes, Maitreya, and Slink Hourglass/Physique.

While walking around the Color Me Project I came across these cute earrings from Ashmoot that caught my eye.  The Acc_Coll_Copper Earrings are large medallion earrings that have a lovely intricate pattern.  There are two colors that come with purchase, brown and gold.  I am wearing the gold.

Look #181: Garden Beauty

It has been one year today that I started my blog. I want to thank the designers who sponsor this blog and those of you who follow it.  It's been so much fun to bring you great items from some of the best Second Life Designers.

I have also been lucky to be chosen as a blogger for some of the fashion events and hunts that take place in Second Life.   I have an outfit from Pretty Things available at the Pretty Things Showroom and sandals from Slipper Originals for the Beached Bunny Hunt to share.

The Katelyn outfit is a Pretty Things Showroom exclusive from Pretty Things, the creator of this event.  It includes a beautiful floral top and mini skirt.  The top is a cropped tube top with a floral pattern on a black background. There is a pink band tied in a bow in the middle of the top and the bottom edge is fluted to give it a feminine look.  The skirt has a opening on the right leg that has a lace tied in a bow.   The Katelyn outfit is made for Belleza Freya/Isis/Venus, Maitreya, Slink Hourglass/Physique, Tonic Curvy/Fine, TMP as well as the five standard mesh sizes.

The hunt item from Slipper Originals for the Beached Bunny Hunt are some cute flat strappy sandals simply called TBBH6 Prize.  These sandals have thin pink straps that run along the top of the foot and wind around the ankle to tie in a bow at the back of the ankle. There is also a thicker strap that goes around the big toe.  The TBBH5 Prize sandals are made for Maitreya, Slink Flat Feet, and TMP.

The Pretty Things Showroom Event

The Pretty Things Showroom Event is a monthly showcase event that brings together Second Life's  premier and top designers to highlight an exclusive release for the month. The first round started July 11th and runs until August 7th.

 

The Beached Bunny Hunt

The Beached Bunny has gotten himself into a real mess. His fat behind is wedged in the sand and he can't get out!  To help him escape his sandy trap, and prevent a bad sunburn, collect all 59 sand buckets and help dig him out! The Beached Bunny Hunt runs until July 31st.

Look #168 Vacation in Greece

Round 33 of the Color Me Project is underway and goes until July 5th.  This round is Colors of Greece which is Chiffon White, Cerulean and Seaglass


The Sally Dress is the Color Me Project exclusive from Pretty Things.  This is a cute mini dress that has one shoulder shoulder band on the left side and no shoulder band on the right.  There are gathers at the waist which turn into pleats in the cute flirty skirt.

The HUD included gives the choice of seven blue and white patterns.  The Sally dress is made for the five standard mesh sizes.

One of the jewelry sets available at the Color Me Project from Indulge Temptation is the Arabesque Set 9.  This set consists of a necklace and earrings. The necklace starts out with a chain from which hangs an intricate metal piece with nine gems.  The lovely earrings repeats the same pattern as on the necklace and has six gems on them.  The included HUD gives ten color options for the metal as well as ten color options for the gems. 

The heels I am wearing are from ILLI. The Slink Bellize Pumps are basic pumps with a high metal stilleto heel. The color HUD included with these heels makes them very customizable. The shininess and glow can also be controlled via the HUD.   The Slink Bellize Pumps are made for Slink High feet.

Look #163: Ice Cream At An Italian Seaside Village

The Laurel Dress is a Color Me Project exclusive from Pretty Things.  This is a very romantic and feminine dress.  The bodice is has a pretty ruffle that goes around the neckline and makes up the sleeves.  The rest of the dress drapes nicely and ends up with a ruffled hemline.  The fabric has a solid background with small white polka dots.  There is an included HUD that gives eight different color options.  The Laurel dress is mesh and made for the five standard sizes.

Since I have switched to a mesh body and head I have become more interested in different skins.  It can really make a difference in a look.   

7 Deadly S[k]ins has the Harlyn Mesh set available at the Rock Attitude Fair.  I am wearing the taupe tone but it is also available in other tones:  Apricot, pineapple, and sand.  There are Omega Head appliers for each tone as well as appliers for Tango, Phatazz and Slink hands/feet. 

Indulge Temptation always makes such beautiful jewelry and I can always find a set to pair with just about anything I wear.  One of the offerings at this round of the Color Me Project is the Arabesque 5 set.  It consists of a necklace and earrings. Look #152: Dressed for the Party

I always say that whatever I do in Second Life should be fun. To me it's fun to shop and blog the awesome creations of my sponsors.  I have a new sponsor to feature and two fabulous new dresses.

The new sponsor is Pretty Things and I am excited to share with you two dresses they have available at the current round of The Addicted to Black fashion event.  The first dress is the Magenta Dress. The bodice has a round neckline and cuffed short sleeves. The bodice pattern is a black background with dots of different sizes in pink, grey and white. The cuffs of the sleeves have a white background with black dots. The satin skirt of the dress is fun and flirty with different pleated layers in a dark pink and bright blue.

The second dress available from Pretty Things at Addicted to Black is the Dotty Dress.  The bodice of this dress is identical to the one on the Magenta dress.  The difference is that the skirt is white, pale pink and grey.   These two mesh dresses are made for the five standard sizes and they fit great on my Maitreya Lara mesh body.  They would be fun to wear on a date or to go dancing.

Addicted to Black

Addicted to Black is a monthly fashion event that starts the 25th of each month.  It  features up to 46 designers who bringing the best of black items from clothing to accessories
