Look #286: Waiting For a Friend on a Winter Day

I am standing here outside a coffee shop on a Winter day waiting to meet a friend for coffee.  I am looking very stylish in my warm long coat.  The Josephine Coat is a Naughty List exclusive from Tashi.  This coat really flatters my figure.  It has a wide collar which attaches to a hood in the back. It has buttons off to the right side in the front and falls down past the knees with soft pleats from the waist down.  A pair of black leather ankle boots are included with the coat.

The Josephine Coat has a HUD that offers six colors. It is made for five fitted sizes, Belleza Venus, Maitreya and Slink Hourglass/Physique. The boots are mesh and made for regular feet.

The beautiful nails I am wearing is the new release from Nail it Good.  The Angelic nails start out with a shimmery silver background which fades into a colored tip.  The applier HUD which is good for Slink/Omega, Belleza and Maitreya has six different colored tips from which to choose.

Look #256: Nothing Beats a Beautiful Gown

It's always great to have some beautiful gowns in the inventory and I recently found a store that has so many beautiful gowns that I wanted to buy everything in the store.  The store is called Wild Orchid and I am featuring one of the gowns that I purchased there.


I love vintage and classic styles and I also love lace so I fell in love with the Signature Gown as soon as I saw it. The bodice is made up of lovely intricate lace that goes down the side and the back of the gown. 

The main part of the dress is put on via an applier HUD for mesh bodies that has options for Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, Slink and Lolas and a TMP applier HUD. There are also system layers for standard avatars.

There are two versions for the system layers or that can be selected from the applier HUD. The frist version has a long sleeved bolero jacket and the other version is without the jacket. A few extras included are a choker necklace, a chest decoration and a brooch to wear with the jacket.

 The look of the lace on the bodice can also be changed by selected "Mask Mode" in the section for layers in the HUD for whatever mesh body you have.  I have Maitreya so I am showing that here.  With the Mask Mode selected the lace is darker than if Mask Mode is not selected.
 

The Signature Gown also includes a skirt panel in both ankle and calf length;  left, right, and middle flexis both in resizer versions and no script versions. This gown also has a attachable train so it can be worn either with or without the train.  I think there is going to be a lot more ballroom dancing in my future with such a beautiful gown to wear!

The nails I am wearing are a Jerky Turkey Hunt item from Tashi.  The Grape Fizz Nails are a pretty collection of five solid colors that includes purple, two shades of pink, black and a light shimmery lilac.  The applier HUD is for Slink hands

The Jerky Turkey Hunt

That turkey, he's so jerky!  Running around SL throwing feathers around, knocking stuff down, being loud and obnoxious-it's time to hunt him and bring it to a stop!  Fantastic designers are having their stores littered by this turkey-Find the orange feathers at each store and get a gobbling gaggle of gifts!

Look #122: Oh So Sophisticated

There are a lot of exciting fashion events going on in Second Life right now.  In this blog post, I am sharing an outfit from SWANK, a jewelry set and a beautiful furniture set from The Color Me Project. 

The Portia Top and Portia Pencil Skirt are from Tashi and both are available at this month's round of SWANK.  This look is very classic and timeless but it is also a bit modern as the top is cropped in front to show just a bit of under cleavage and longer in back.  The pencil skirt is always in style and fits perfectly.

There is a HUD included that has six color choices for both the top and skirt. 

Both are mesh and available in the five standard sizes and five fitmesh sizes as well version for  Belleza, Maitreya and Slink mesh bodies.

The very elegant heels I am wearing are also available at SWANK from Tashi.   The Haydee Heels have golden ring embellished clear straps that run along the toe and up around the ankle.  They have a pointed toe and a high thin heel.  These shoes go perfectly with the Portia Top and Skirt

The Haydee Heels are made for Slink High feet and are available in six different colors.

The jewelry set I am wearing with this amazing outfit is from Indulge Temptation and is available at the Color Me Project. 

The Majestique set includes a short necklace with a delicate wide chain and a jewel center. The earrings drop down from the ear with the same chain and end with a jewel to match the necklace



Both the necklace and earrings are 100% resizable mesh and the set comes with a HUD that has 10 color options for the jewel and 10 metal options for the chain.

Also from the Color Me Project is this very elegant furniture set from [CIRCA] Living.  The Clarice room set includes a velvet chaise that has a blanket and pillow (removable on touch). The chaise is is available in three different color combinations and there are 45 female lay and sit animations.

There are also curtains available in either smoke or scarlet and three different area rug sets with two rugs each one in smoke and one in scarlet in each set.  The final piece is a side table with a beautiful vase of orchids.

Each piece can be purchased separately or there are two sets available in either scarlet or smoke.

SWANK

SWANK is a monthly fashion event bringing together a select group of designers with themed releases.  Almost 100 Designers with everything exclusive and 300L or less. The theme for the April round is "Spring Celebration" and it runs from April 7th to April 31st.

Color Me Project

The Color Me Project is a fashion event that focuses on a particular color or group of colors .  More than 20 designers share their discounted quality items that adhere to the color/colors chosen before each round
